Insanity from CON senator.

The CPC propaganda machine, Stevie's Politburo aka the PMO and its hundreds of minions cranking it out for ministers, is showing signs of stress fatigue.

From here:
"Let me ask you this, honourable senators: If environmentalists are willing to accept money from Martians, where would they draw the line on where they receive money from? Would they take money from Al Qaeda, the Hamas or the Taliban?," Senator Don Plett, the party's former president, asked in the Senate.

"It's jaw-droopingly bizarre," Devon Page, executive director of EcoJustice told The Huffington Post Canada late Tuesday.

"I have no idea where this comes from. To me this defies reason, logic and all of this is so bizarre I have a hard time responding to it. To me, it's a good example of why we need an elected Senate," he said. "They are being irresponsible, I think they are not representing the Canadian public, I think the Senate is disassociating itself from reasoned debate."

Plett, who was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2009, made the comments during an inquiry into the foreign funding of Canadian charities.
Thanks to the Harper CONtempt Party, our Parliament now features scenes of unbridled fuckwittery, almost as riveting as the gonzo journalism writing of JJ's beloved Hunter Thompson.

Class Act

Some rightwing reactionary who put his own trademark imprint on the Republican Party died this week. DJ! wrote about him here:
[...] a toxic fabricator, a con man, and a dumpster-diver. He's a self-styled JackAss reporter; he's a balding, schlumpy and braying male version of Ann Coulter; a wannabe Christopher Hitchens without the creds. Yet his presence amongst the Limbaughs and O'Reillys serves a purpose; he makes them look like serious newsman in comparison with his own disgraceful method of gotcha! reporting.
Still applicable though in the past tense.

He engineered a malevolent hoax; this is what the target of his deliberate character assassination had to say about his death.
“The news of Mr. Breitbart’s death came as a surprise to me when I was informed of it this morning. My prayers go out to Mr. Breitbart’s family as they cope during this very difficult time.”
Shirley Sherrod is a class act, something Breitbart never was.

Blob Blogging Wingnut cites lies as *news* - what a surprise! (with update)

Blob Blogging Wingnut says:
"I wonder if our "reproductive choice" advocates will have anything to say about this. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting."
in response to a *news item* SHE attributes to the BBC and Rwandan media about that country allegedly forcing 700,000 men to be circumcised and sterilised. There is text cited but no link, of course.

As a woman who supports reproductive responsibility AND choice, this is what I have to say about religious rightwing obfuscators like ALLCAPS who post unsubstianted alarmist propaganda in the guise of *news*: Revolting.

A Google search reveals that HER undisclosed source for the fabrication could be one of these - lifesite news, christiansunitenews but likely canadafreepress (because without America there is no free world) - whereas one legitimate news media - the BBC - provides
this:
Rwanda has strongly denied reports that its parliament is considering a draft law which would forcibly sterilise people who are mentally disabled.
Damascene Ntawukuriryayo, deputy speaker of parliament, was responding to a call by US-based activists Human Rights Watch to scrap the proposed law.
He also told the BBC that plans for HIV testing before couples get married are strictly voluntary, not compulsory.
Mr Ntawukuriryayo said the lobby group should check before releasing reports. He said he had never seen a bill or provision which proposed forcible sterilisation.
More information about the voluntary circumcision campaign in Rwanda, here.

Baby Jay-Zeus cries when you spread your lies, SAINTE-NITOUCHE.

Update: Good grief, now SHE's playing her persecution violin. Wah, wah, wah. The evul forces that control academia wouldn't let HER *think* and express whatever SHE wanted and wouldn't award HER the credentials SHE wanted.

Say BBW - if you kept all your research as well as the reams of writing you did to counter those elements of English Lit you found so offensive, you should consider presenting your candidacy to Charles McVety's Christian College. I suspect the faculty there will be receptive to your notions and who knows, you might be able to buy earn a *dokterate.*

Barbara Kay would like to remind you she's not getting any.

This post was originally titled: "Why does Barbara Kay hate women's freedoms?" Then I took another look at the churlish, sour puss decorating her column and reconsidered. Because there's really no other reason for writing such a resentful, gynophobic screed.

It's a bizarre spin about a relatively reliable contraception. Does she really believe that contemporary women are so shallow that their 'happiness' rests on medication? Clearly Babs misses the pharmaceutical fog that Valium gave her peers, back then.

Instead of putting the focus on the fact it allows women to plan when to be pregnant (or not to be, ever) and couples to control their reproductive abilities so they can parent the children they want as best as they can, Kay quotes skewed research from the obscure Timothy Reichert - you could at least spell his name correctly, toots. As you can well imagine, Reichert's bloviations have become akin to the New Testament, over at LifeShite.

But in the final analysis, Babs is shrieeekkking at all those selfish, selfish, selfish!!! young women who turned down her son's Jonathan's invitation to be his baby mama, and to give her the grandchildren she wants, dammit!

Not yet done with the Coultrix circus act.

Today's blogpost from CC Ah, I have so missed the Denyseitude. with its splendid link to the self-avowed sexual proclivities of a US rightwing anti-abortion zealot, reminded me of an observation that a friend shared when she reviewed the photos Dr Roy posted after Coulter's stand-up performance at the UWO.

Funny to see those frat boys in those pics with Coulter. It's like she's in a long frame and they're in a wide frame view - except it's the same frame. Oh, what a small mind I have! She's a lévrier afghan and they're pugs.

In the canine world, cross-breeding events are of course quite common. Inter-species, not so much - unlike the sexual practices of certain rightwing males.

Anti-feminist relay team.

Good grief. First it was La Mère Kay who had a full metal, shrieeeking melt-down in public view, by way of her hen scratchings and pecking in the Postal Nation and her surrogates' blogsites.

Now we learn from JJ in her blogpost about diversionary tactics that Naomi Lakritz has caught the baton and that she's merrily twirling it to the drumbeat of the approaching ReformaTory budget.

WTF? Oh right, the Special Olympics are still unfolding. (Correction - the Paralympics begin in mid-March.) I've just never realize there was a women's anti-feminist shotput throw and relay broad-jump event for strident screechy rightwing columnists way past their "best before" date.
