Dipper Dippiness

Back here I threw the ProgBlogosphere into a tizz by saying I was going to vote Liberal. Then I took it back and said I was voting fringe.

But today when I went to the poll, I voted, as usual, for the Dipper, Oliva Chow in this riding.

Had I seen this first, I'd have returned to the fringe plan.

Really. Jack and Olivia are BOTH Trekkies.

(Now, I'll have pissed off the Dippers again and the Trekkies. A good day for a humble blogger.)

Anyone who can wear that uniform and not make it look like an overstuffed sausage is wayyyy ahead of the average con goer. Of course these days, Mr. Layton is a little more Picard patewise.

(speaking as an owner of an officer's uniform ala TOS Wrath of Khan

I banned all Star Trek paraphernalia in my home. Also banned Star Wars paraphernalia too.

What BY said. She is absolutely right. The Dippers have sold out Canada. Some of us were naive enough to believe, just long enough, they were better than that. That's a mistake we'll never make again. Fuck the NDP.

This is ^NOT funny or mockable. We are totally, absolutely, royally FUCKED.

This one is for all the conscience voters out there.

FURY unleashed tomorrow when the alcohol poisoning wears off.

Forget the concience voters, blame the right wing Liberals who voted Conservative.

One Party got over 100 seats and the other got under 35 - who was doing the splitting again?

Maybe Ignatieff was a good leader or maybe he wasn't. I doubt even Jesus Christ could have made it through millions of dollars worth of smearing pre-election attack ads without taking a big hit. During the election period itself there's some limits on spending, but the damage is already done, and has had months of reinforcement.

How do you reliably fight against that sort of campaign without becoming worse than the people you oppose? The Liberals tried endless town hall meetings to show what their leader was really like. Ignatieff met with thousands of Canadians and answered their questions freely and openly. It didn't work.

Maybe he needed a photo-op with a kitty.
