According to the Republican rightwing wannabe Wonder Woman Michele Bachmann ...
schools might start offering abortions if healthcare reform passes. ... There's no passage in the bill to support this claim, and Bachmann's office didn't immediately respond to a request for clarification.
More about the development of this particular extrapolation, here. In
Bachmann's own words:
"...the bill orders that these clinics protect patient privacy and student records. What does that mean? It means that parents will never know what kind of counsel and treatment that their children are receiving. And as a matter of fact, the bill goes on to say what's going to go on -- comprehensive primary health services, physicals, treatment of minor acute medical conditions, referrals to follow-up for specialty care -- is that abortion? Does that mean that someone's 13 year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus that night? Mom and dad are never the wiser."
Sarah Palin has some serious competition there in the raving, shrieeeking lunatic category. But then, Jill Stanek may be the ultimate champion zygote zealot and extreme fabulator, with this over-the-top
hallucination from last November: "Barack Obama was elected president despite the fact he supports abortion into the fourth trimester."
Batshitcrazies? You betcha.

That would funny if it were not true.

Huh?
Oh that's our new troll, "Jasper" - he's just visiting. We should keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't soil the blogsite. He was very poopy over at JJ's.

how come we can't paste into this comment field!
It's our super-duper force field that detects and protects against the pasties of rightwingnutter batshitcrazy trolls.
Gee, Jasper - I thought you guys only accused Jews of that sort of thing. Branching out, are we?
I can't help but feel that women in power who spew this, freely employ contraceptives and either directly or indirectly were involved in procuring abortions for personal necessity. But it's always different for rich people somehow. God likes them.
quisling quisling quisling
Niles--But of course! An "abortion of convenience" is always someone ELSE's abortion, to these people. When it's them or their precious daughters, suddenly it stops being a problem, at least for as long as it takes to pay the nice doctor and scuttle out the back door!
Claims that reform will encourage abortions at school “sex clinics” are absurd

Works for me.
Jasper "how come we can't paste into this comment field!"
You need to learn how to make clickable links. Here's what you do.
1. Paste the link: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=28089
2. Immediately preceding the link, type in (without spaces) -- < a href="
and immediately following the link url, type in " >" then type some words, like 'click here' or whatever, then type in "< /a>"
3. That will give you a clickable link like this .
BTW, the information at that link has been thoroughly debunked. Stanek even admitted she LIED about Obama's record.
Open your eyes.
JJ, religious zealots like Jasper don't let facts and reality stand in the way of their dogma and truthiness.
