Let's make ALL the girls and women wear niqab, RIGHT?!

Now that I have your attention, my point is that Harper and the CPC are cravenly using the niqab to push hot buttons during this election.

The political cartoon above suggests the niqab issue will provide Harper with a "wind at his back" which he needs desperately needs to win the election race.

There are dozens of institutions that oppress women.  The niqab is the least of them but Harper's Attack Dingo™ Lynton Crosby has found one with formidable scaremongering OPTICS, right?

Susan Delacourt unpacks CPC doublespeak with regard to the niqab.

Rational people and critics of Harper's regime nail what the CPC tactic obfuscates:

This happened north of Ottawa last week. Basil Borutski 'allegedly' executed three women. How can this still occur, in Ontario, in 2015?
“Our systems need to try to pick out these warning signs sooner and do everything we can to provide safety and security,” [Illingworth] said. “There are absolutely gaps.”

The province’s Domestic Violence Death Review Committee, which works with the coroner’s office to review every domestic homicide in Ontario over more than a decade, has compiled a list of risk factors that “indicate the potential for lethality” within relationships or, to put it another way, a check-list to figure out the likelihood that an abuser will kill his partner.

Most of the boxes would be ticked off when it came to Borutski: a history of violence, an escalation of violence, obsessive behaviour, unemployment, isolation of victims and victims having an “intuitive sense of fear.”
From here:
Leighann Burns, the executive director of Ottawa women's shelter Harmony House, said many women feel that abusive men are not monitored closely enough after being released from jail, and that conditions placed on those who are released can, in some cases, easily be ignored.

"We hear from women routinely that the offences that men commit against them are not treated seriously in the criminal justice system," Burns said.

"Somebody who is lethally violent, who has clearly got no respect for the system or any sanctions that are meted out — there's not much that can be done, other than to lock him up or keep her hidden," she said.
So, probation officer are overworked, likely because of a large client load which, at the risk of provoking shrieks from Babs Kay, I will guess is 90% male offenders.

Remember Zainab, 19, Sahar, 17, and Geeti Shafia, 13, along with Rona Mohammad Amir, 50? Their bodies were found in the family’s Nissan, submerged in the Rideau Canal on June 30, 2009. The family members who killed them were able to "justify" their murders using the same twisted patriarchal ideology that motivated Borutski.

Women "provoke" their murderers by defying the Gawd-given control entrusted to men to extract resources from women.  If women and girls refuse to provide men with what they want and demand, they're disposable.  They can be threatened, harmed, damaged, tortured and killed with impunity.  That chilling premise is the core of patriarchal extremism throughout the world.

So, the niqab? Just as oppressive as Harper's Hard-On Crime regime of venal liars who did NOTHING during their 9 years in government to make Canada safer for women and girls.

For a rueful chuckle to end my pessimistic rambling, check out my co-blogger's post about #CdnNiqab as well has the photos that folks posted on Twitter.

Clue for the Clueless

So, how did Operation ReScum get all that information for its nationwide anti-abortion hit list?

From: Philadelphia Weekly
Last year, in the wake of the arrest of Kermit Gosnell, Operation Rescue came to town. They met in the basement of St. Agnes Church in West Chester. As PW reported in March, the militant anti-abortion organization was there recruiting volunteers to gather doctors’ names and schedules by pretending to be mothers of daughters who were seeking abortions. Volunteers were told they’d find it surprisingly easy to lie, and that the Holy Spirit would tell them what to say. It was described as playing a fun detective game.

Whee! Let's play 'Target Doctors and Clinic Staff for Assassination'! It'll be FUN!

They could make a board game out of it.

'I got it, I got it! Is it Paul Hill with a shotgun in the parking lot?'

'No, no, I got it! Is it Scott Roeder with a handgun in the church lobby?'

'Wait, I got it. Is it James Kopp with a sniper rifle in the kitchen?'

No, the next assassin won't be any of those. It will be a new player. Emboldened and enabled by these domestic terrorists.

Nationwide Anti-Abortion Hit List

Rachel Maddow catches us up on two recent Fetus Lobby moves in the Excited States -- both terrifying.

I won't link to Operation Re-Scum, but here's a description from Ms. Magazine.
Operation Rescue, an extremist anti-abortion group, has launched a website - abortiondocs.org - which lists the photographs and addresses of abortion providers, as well as maps to find their places of business. The website, which describes itself as the "largest collection of documents on America's abortion cartel," aims to list every abortion provider in the country.

Kathy Spillar, executive vice president of the Feminist Majority Foundation and co-founder of the National Clinic Access Project, stated, "What causes us real concern is fear of where this could be headed. It opens the possibility that some so-called 'grass-roots activist,' who does believe in the use of violence, will be able to use this as a tool for stalking doctors, which has happened."

Rachel Maddow remarked on her show on MSNBC last night that website is Operation Rescue's attempt to take individual WANTED posters, which she described as "a tried and true means of intimidation for the anti-abortion movement," to a national level through the web. She stated, this is "an extremist movement with a history of violence taking something that is arguably criminal and trying to make it more mainstream and national."

And oh yeah, Dr LeRoy Carhart -- the subject of an OScum 'research project' -- is on the list.

Rachel also brings us up to date on the most recent Looney Tunes ReThuglican debate, sponsored by Personhood USA.

Here at DJ!, we've written about the Humpty Dumpty Initiative a few times. These are the nutbars who want a fertilized human egg declared a 'person', thus not only outlawing all abortions, but endangering birth control, emergency contraception, and in-vitro techniques. Also possibly criminalizing miscarriage and spreading the application of child endangerment laws back to second 1.

Basically, you know, shoving the government up every uterus in Merka.

Yabbut, I hear you saying, this dealie recently failed a referendum in ultra-conservative Mississippi, didn't it? So, like, there's nothing to worry about, just a bunch of nutters, right?

Wrong. Rachel points out that while Mississippi -- arguably the most conservative state down there -- rejected this insanity, EVERY SINGLE ONE of the ReThug candidates has endorsed it.

Let me repeat that -- EVERY SINGLE ONE.

There you have it, fans of sense and reason. This is the atmosphere into which a nationwide, online, anti-abortion Hit List has been injected.

Someone -- a doctor, nurse, clinic worker, patient, bystander -- is going to be killed. And it probably won't be long now.

MASSIVE bomb ... err, ... plot .... hmm, ... something or other uncovered by RCMP

News item:
Two men arrested in Wednesday's anti-terrorism raids in Ottawa [...] appeared in court Thursday to face terrorism charges in an alleged bomb plot linked to al-Qaida.

Alizadeh has been charged with conspiracy to facilitate terrorism, possession of explosives and committing an offence for a terrorism group. Ahmed faces a single conspiracy charge of facilitating a terrorist offence. [...]

A third suspect was arrested Thursday morning, according to a report on the Toronto Star's website. The newspaper identified the third suspect as Khuram Sher of Montreal and said the Pakistan-born man once tried out for the Canadian Idol TV show.

The RCMP say that they had to arrest the suspects at this time because one of them had made plans to travel outside Canada.

How odd. The long arm of Stevie Spiteful's merry band of thugs and bullies has always been able to reach outside the country.

More timely and opportunistic security theatre tactics to divert Canadians' attention away from this?

An RCMP evaluation report of Canada’s long-gun registry concludes that the program is cost effective, efficient and an important tool for law enforcement, CBC News has learned. [...]

The full report contains over 40 pages of analysis of the effectiveness of the firearms registry, in both urban and rural areas.

Eh. The Cons' chickenshit lying lies have hit the fan, once again.

Hard 50!

Scott Roeder, confessed assassin of Dr George Tiller, will be 102 years old before he is eligible for parole.

Good.

Kansas is not a death penalty state (surprised? I was), but it does have a mandatory life sentence for first-degree murder, the crime Roeder was convicted of last January (plus two counts of attempted murder of the witnesses, additional year each for those).

The only discretion the judge, Warren Wilbert, had in sentencing was whether to grant eligibility for parole after 25 years or after 50 years, the so-called 'Hard Fifty'.

The judge figured that stalking the doctor for months and choosing to kill him at his church because his clinic was 'like a fortress' -- gee, who's to blame for that? -- merited the extra 25.

At the sentencing hearing, the judge allowed a couple of fellow and sister fetus fetishists to testify -- as long as they stuck to Roeder's character and stayed off the subject of abortion, which they seemed to have done.

Then he let Roeder himself speak.
In his statement before the court Thursday, Roeder said he didn't think he deserved the Hard 50. He claimed his views had been silenced by the court. He described late-term abortion procedures. He claimed he killed Tiller "so he couldn't kill again." The decision was to do so was most agonizing. He called Tiller a "hit man" for the state of Kansas and spoke of judgment day coming and God avenging the deaths of aborted babies. Then he started reading from 'Why shoot an abortionist?' by Paul Hill, who was executed for murdering an abortion provider.

And it went on and on and on. It was as if Roeder were trying to filibuster his way out.

Judge Warren Wilbert grew tired of it all.

It ended thus:
The judge and defendant engaged in a dialogue when Wilbert stopped Roeder from criticizing a sitting district attorney.

"If you were to obey the higher power of God, you would acquit me," Roeder said.

"If you think you were going to convince me with some oratory plea, it's not going to happen," Wilbert said.

There are other accounts of his biblical ravings, complaints about not being allowed to show aborted fetus pr0n to the court, and his likening of himself to jeezuz, which I'll spare you.

All of which prompted a a columnist in the Kansas City Tribune to claim that the sentence was wrong. Roeder is nuts, he says, and should have presented an insanity defense.

If Roeder is mad, it's a virulent and common strain of insanity, particularly in the Excited States. Viz., the Tea-Baggers.

Let's have a look at LifeShite's spin:
Scott Roeder, the former militia activist not affiliated with any pro-life organization, was sentenced to life in prison today for the 2009 murder of late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller.

The rest of the piece makes absolutely no mention of his ranting, his claims to Christianism, or reading of Paul Hill's book. Just a simple murder, justice done, nothing to see here, move along, folks.

What we at DJ! want to know is: are there conspiracy charges in the works for his f.f.friends? And how about federal charges under the FACE Act? Yes, FACE is meant to protect clinics and Dr Tiller was murdered at his church, but couldn't there be a cogent argument made that FACE applies precisely because Dr Tiller and other abortion doctors are forced to turn their clinics into fortresses, a fact FACE's existence recognizes? And therefore determined assassins must stalk their victims to other killing zones?

I'm wondering, though, if the additional 25 years will act as a deterrent to other would-be martyrs. Would someone stop and think: 'OK, I'm prepared to risk throwing away 25 years of my life, but 50? Hell, no!'

I don't think so, either.

Another inappropriate and violent testerical FAIL.

In his blogpost today, C.C. draws our attention to what can happen in the US when you mix ignorance, testosterone enhancement and islamophobia, Dear idiot wankers: This is YOUR fault. From here:

Marine reservist Jasen Bruce was getting clothes out of the trunk of his car Monday evening when a bearded man in a robe approached him. That man, a Greek Orthodox priest named Father Alexios Marakis, speaks little English and was lost, police said. He wanted directions.

What the priest got instead, police say, was a tire iron to the head. Then he was chased for three blocks and pinned to the ground — as the Marine kept a 911 operator on the phone, saying he had captured a terrorist.

Police say Bruce offered several reasons to explain his actions: The man tried to rob him. The man grabbed Bruce's crotch and made an overt sexual advance in perfect English. The man yelled "Allahu Akbar," Arabic for "God is great," the same words some witnesses said the Fort Hood shooting suspect uttered last week.

"That's what they tell you right before they blow you up," police say Bruce told them. Bruce ended up in jail, accused of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was released Tuesday on $7,500 bail.

Marakis ended up at the hospital with stitches. He told the police he didn't want to press charges, espousing biblical forgiveness.

But Tuesday, Bruce wasn't saying sorry.

Marakis forgave Bruce, even though his assailant never apologized or expressed contrition. Now that is true christianity, unlike the ideologically-fuelled hate that various rightwing nutters, fundamentalist religious zealots and christofascists like Pat Robertson are shrieeeking.

We think that police should press charges against Bruce nonetheless. That man is a ticking time bomb and a threat to the public although it's likely his next victim will be his wife. We wonder what excuses to justify his violence he'll invent then.

Roeder Watch

In the comments to this post at JJ's, I discovered Roeder Watch, a site devoted to keeping track of the trial -- and no doubt antics surrounding the trial -- of accused assassin Scott Roeder.

I'm going to put it in our blogroll.

Domestic terrorism begins at home.

The abomination that is also known as intimate violence can be prevented and the cycle that condemns generation after generation to suffering and despair, if not death, can be stopped - with the appropriate resources - and co-ordinated services. Yet -

The B.C. government has cut funding to domestic violence programs, including a service for traumatized children in Victoria, just as a report yesterday demanded better support and co-ordination of those services.

The province's Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General has slashed $440,000 in funding this year to groups that provide counselling and support for battered women and children. ...The criticism fell on the same day as a damning report by B.C.'s Child and Youth Representative, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, who said the province's system for handling domestic violence lacks proper co-ordination.

"There's no question in my mind that co-ordinating the system and that making it effective is going to take resources," said Turpel-Lafond. "It's going to take better alignment and co-ordination of what we already have. It's also going to take ... more investment."

Turpel-Lafond was entrusted with finding how Christian Lee, his mother and his grandparents could be murdered by his father.

She found a safety net with gaping holes and blamed not the many individuals who were connected with the case, but a provincial government that has not co-ordinated domestic violence programs or given teeth to family law.

Social workers, medical staff, officers from three different police departments, Crown counsel, therapists and lawyers were among those who knew of Sunny Park's fears. She warned that her estranged husband might kill the boy and pleaded for protection.

Navigating an unfamiliar system in a language she struggled to comprehend, she heard conflicting advice on how to safeguard against Peter Lee in her final six weeks as he stalked her while under a court order to stay away.

"Sunny confided a history of escalating violence and abuse. Despite her desperate dread that she would be murdered, responsibility for her safety plan was placed solely on her shoulders," Ms. Turpel-Lafond wrote. "Christian was not safe because his mother was not safe."

Meanwhile in Toronto, the trial of Chris Little who is charged first-degree murder in the deaths of his estranged wife, Julie Crocker, and of another woman, Paula Menendez has started. The women's bodies were found in Little and Crocker's home in 2007. The Crown will be presenting a jury with evidence in support of its allegation that Little kidnapped Menendez, brought her to his estranged wife's house, and killed them both - staging their deaths to make it appear as though one killed the other.

More here.

So, what's with the standard misogynist saying: "Hell hath no fury like a women scorned" which is usually screeched with testerical force by Men's Rights Advocates?

What about the cold, calculated, murderous fury of those who need to control and punish women - and are willing to harm others in order to achieve their goals?

Break out the champers!

Operation Rescue "completely out of money".
The Wichita-based anti-abortion group Operation Rescue says the recession has dramatically hurt fundraising and as a result it's nearly out of money.

President Troy Newman sent out a plea for help to supporters last night, saying he had to borrow money to pay for the letter. "This is the worst financial crisis we've ever faced," he writes.

Of course, Newman also promises that should OP survive, it's about to launch "the most ambitious and most significant project" in its history.

Go to the link for the whole glurgey, whiney letter.

He says Operation Scumbag may have to close.

And he blames it on the recession?

I'd venture the truth is that many, many of his former supporters came to their senses suddenly and realized exactly what their hard-earned dough was paying for.

Domestic terrorism.

Maybe enabling the assassination of Dr George Tiller wasn't such a shit-hot idea, eh, Troy?

Poisoning the Well

Today, in "Terrorism" by any other name ... Canadian Cynic quotes Steven Pearlstein at The Washington Post on the extreme tactics deployed by the biggest, sorest, stupidest losers in the history of US presidential elections.

The recent attacks by Republican leaders and their ideological fellow-travelers on the effort to reform the health-care system have been so misleading, so disingenuous, that they could only spring from a cynical effort to gain partisan political advantage. By poisoning the political well, they've given up any pretense of being the loyal opposition. They've become political terrorists, willing to say or do anything to prevent the country from reaching a consensus on one of its most serious domestic problems. ...

When Democrats, for example, propose to fund research to give doctors, patients and health plans better information on what works and what doesn't, Republicans sense a sinister plot to have the government decide what treatments you will get. By the same wacko-logic, a proposal that Medicare pay for counseling on end-of-life care is transformed into a secret plan for mass euthanasia of the elderly. ...

Can there be anyone more two-faced than the Republican leaders who in one breath rail against the evils of government-run health care and in another propose a government-subsidized high-risk pool for people with chronic illness, government-subsidized community health centers for the uninsured, and opening up Medicare to people at age 55?

Health reform is a test of whether this country can function once again as a civil society -- whether we can trust ourselves to embrace the big, important changes that require everyone to give up something in order to make everyone better off. Republican leaders are eager to see us fail that test. We need to show them that no matter how many lies they tell or how many scare tactics they concoct, Americans will come together and get this done. If health reform is to be anyone's Waterloo, let it be theirs.

Meanwhile, on this side of the border in Ontario, the McGuinty government is implementing Dump Site 41, a project that will poison an immense aquifer that is a primary supply of water source to numerous municipalities in the area.
The dumpsite would sit atop the Alliston Aquifer, one of the largest underground pristine water reservoirs that extends from Georgian Bay to Lake Simcoe and the Oak Ridges Moraine and is linked to numerous streams, rivers and wetlands in the area that stand to be polluted. Ultimately, the polluted water would flow into Georgian Bay and Lake Ontario. Anyone who argues that leachate would be drastically diluted by the time it reaches these waters is missing the point: dilution is no solution—it’s an excuse. The threat is not only to the local communities. The area of the groundwater compromised by this dumpsite, which coincidentally is not even needed at this point, is vast.

Thanks to John Laforet for blogging about this environmental threat.

Yikes! Anti-Choice Bikers!

This isn't funny but the title made me laugh.

CHOOSE LIFE OR I'LL KICK YOUR ASS
Pro-choice activists are calling for a rally at an Akron abortion clinic this weekend. Earlier this month, weekly protests turned violent when a volatile and colorful crowd clashed just outside downtown, at the Akron Women’s Medical Group.

July was a busy month. Regular attendees say the anti-abortion side has been unusually rambunctious and aggressive since the May assassination of Kansas late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. And the usual screaming suburbanites were joined by Jericho Riders Motorcycle Ministry, a Missouri-based Christian motorcycle group. The Jericho Riders had the clinic on their schedule of missions for the month (in addition to gay pride events from Missouri to Las Vegas).

The pro-choice counter-demonstartors were outnumbered. Charles Wright, 50, a former vice-president of Akron’s National Organization for Women, was one of them on Saturday, July 18. He didn’t want to be there. But his longtime partner, Thomas Reke, is friends with people who work the pro-choice side. Reke knew numbers were down. He was afraid somebody could get hurt. He was right.

Witnesses say that when screaming lead to face-to-face confrontation, a biker hit Wright with a crushing blow that sent him crashing to the sidewalk, breaking six ribs. As the crowd backed away from the fallen protester, the biker rode off on his motorcycle, barely stopping to let his companion climb aboard.

Jericho Riders president Jim Carroll (pictured) says the man that hit Wright wasn’t a member of his group, and claims the blow wasn’t an assault.

And he further claims that the other guy started it and the dog ate his homework. Police are considering it an assault, but not a felonious assault, so it 'doesn’t warrant active investigation'. Huh?

Eliminationism: Interview with David Neiwert

Good read. Longish interview with David Neiwert, author of The Eliminationists: How Hate Talk Radicalized the American Right at AlterNet.

The intro:
In April, the Department of Homeland Security issued a report (PDF) warning that the shifting political climate and tanking economy were spurring a resurgence of violent right-wing extremism (known as "terrorism" when applied to those holding other political views) in the United States.

At the time, a number of right-wing commentators lambasted the report as a politically motivated attack on mainstream conservatism rather than what it was: an early warning on the dangers posed by a violent, fringe minority within their movement. Under pressure from GOP lawmakers, Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano apologized for the report.

But in the short weeks since, the department's warnings have proved prescient. An abortion provider who had been a frequent target of Fox News' bloviator Bill O'Reilly was gunned down during a church service in Kansas; a mentally disturbed man who believed the "tea-bagging" movement's contention that the Obama administration is destroying the American economy -- and who reportedly owned a number of firearms -- withdrew $85,000 from his bank account, said he was part of a plot to assassinate the president and disappeared (he was later captured in Las Vegas); and this week, a white supremacist who was deeply steeped in far-right conspiracism entered the U.S. Holocaust Museum and opened fire, killing a guard before being shot and wounded by security personnel.

The three incidents share a common feature: All of these men thought they were serving a higher moral purpose, that is, defending their country from an insidious "enemy within" as defined by the far right -- a "baby-killer," the Jews who secretly control the world and a president who's been accused of being a Manchurian Candidate-style foreign agent bent on nothing less than the destruction of the American Way.

David Neiwert, a veteran journalist who has covered violent right-wing groups for years, calls the worldview that informs this twisted sense of moral purpose "eliminationism." It's the belief that one's political opponents are not just wrongheaded, misinformed or even acting in bad faith. Eliminationism holds that they are a cancer on the body politic that must be excised -- either by separation from the public at large, through censorship or by outright extermination -- in order to protect the purity of the nation.

As eliminationist rhetoric becomes increasingly mainstream within the American right -- fueled in large part by the wildly overheated discourse found on conservative blogs and talk radio -- Neiwert's new book, The Eliminationists: How Hate Talk Radicalized the American Right, could not have come at a more important time. In it, Neiwert painstakingly details how the rise in eliminationism is a very real threat and points to the dangers of dismissing extreme rhetoric as merely a form of "entertainment."

Palin Says It's The Same.

When Sarah Palin was in the news last month, she was looking forward to going back to her 'journalistic roots'.

And this month she offers her opinion about media coverage regarding two very public killings that took place in the US. From Politico:
"The stories of two very different lives with similar fates crossed through the media's hands yesterday — both equally important but one lacked the proper attention. The death of 67-year old George Tiller was unacceptable, but equally disgusting was another death that police believe was politically and religiously motivated as well. William Long died yesterday. The 23-year old Army Recruiter was gunned down by a fanatic; another fellow soldier was wounded in the ambush. ... Whatever titles we give these murderers, both deserve our attention. Violence like that is no way to solve a political dispute nor a religious one. And the fanatics on all sides do great disservice when they confuse dissention with rage and death."
Thus both murderers (alleged murderers - Sarah?) should be treated the same, by the media and by legal authorities - right? Canadian Cynic looked into that and
here's what he found.
George Tiller, 67, who had been targeted in other attacks over the years, was killed just after 10am yesterday in the lobby of the Reformation Lutheran church in Wichita, where he was acting as an usher during a morning service ... A 51-year-old suspect in the shooting, named as Scott Roeder, was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder and two charges of aggravated assault, according to the Associated Press.

And the other one?
An Arkansas man was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting at a Little Rock military recruiting center that killed one soldier and wounded another, ... Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad ... faces a first-degree murder charge and 15 counts of engaging in a terrorist act, Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas said.

Didn't Palin say something about similarity and equal importance? Strange isn't it, particularly since the Associated Press reports this:
Police Chief Stuart Thomas said Muhammad was a convert to Islam and not part of a broader scheme to attack the American military.
Oh. A broader scheme, perhaps something like this?

Palling around with terrorists

For undisclosed reasons, the OPP will not pursue charges against convicted murderer and domestic terrorist James Kopp.
James Kopp, serving a life sentence for killing a U.S. doctor who performed abortions, will not face charges in the attempted murder of an Ancaster physician, the OPP say.

"Following consultation with the Hamilton Crown Attorney's office on the evidence relating to the attempted murder of Dr. Hugh Short, the Ontario Provincial Police and Hamilton Police Service joint investigation team has decided not to proceed with charges at this time," according to a press release.

Short was shot and wounded by a sniper in his Ancaster home in November 1995.

Check out Kopp's story and Canadian links.
Meanwhile, Kopp continues to be the main suspect in three non-fatal shootings of Canadian doctors: Dr. Garson Romalis in Vancouver (1994), Dr. Hugh Short in Hamilton (1995), and Dr. Jack Fainman in Winnipeg (1997). He was charged in the Hamilton shooting after DNA evidence was found at the scene that matched Kopp's hairs. Kopp is also a suspect in a fourth non-fatal shooting in Rochester, New York—Dr. David Gandell (1997). All five victims, including Dr. Slepian, were shot through a window of their home by a sniper hiding behind the house, armed with an assault rifle.

The cops have Kopp's DNA from the Ancaster scene? And they're not pursuing the case? WTF?

Sure, I understand that Kopp will die in prison in the US, but he likely shot three Canadian doctors. And we don't seem to care about proving this? Finding out who helped him in Canada?

Me, I wanna know who Kopp was palling around with in Canada.
