Two *ladies* ... (not the song from Cabaret)

An admission: I've long admired the thespian skills of Jane Lynch, long before she invaded US tv screens via "Glee" in the form of Sue Sylvester.

Every one of her roles has been a delicious comic performance, particularly in those ensemble mock-docs directed by Christopher Guest. Here she lampoons another modern archetype - the New Age therapist.

The SNL connection continues for Sarah Palin when Tracy Morgan (cast member on Tina Fey's 30 Rock) offers these ... um, affirming words about her.

Given the rumours recently spread by tabloids, one might think that this shout-out to her sex appeal would greatly cheer Palin.

Sarah is Baaaack! With a Vengeance! You betcha!

Salon writer Joan Walsh writes:

The only good thing about Sarah Palin's persistence on the national scene is that it keeps Tina Fey returning to "Saturday Night Live." Here she is, dressed in that fabulous leather jacket, introducing the new lineup for the "Sarah Palin Network." [...]

I have to say, I used to think Fey's Palin accent was a little overdone, in the service of comedy. Now that the half-term Alaska governor has fully gone rogue, and isn't even trying to be a national candidate, Fey's take seems a little tame.

Some things about Sarah are stranger than fiction.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Or not. Your choice.
