Greenies have their organic, politically correct knickers in knots over EMay's exclusion from tonight's debate and vow to work even harder on pulling a Ralph Nader again here in Canada.
The Fucking Liberals® are sniping at the Useless NDP® and the Useless NDP® are sniping back.
The Intertoobz are rife with holier-than-thou's (or Con operatives) saying that they won't compromise their principles and vote for anyone other than the party that was good enough for grandad, dagnabbit.
And besides, they argue, don't you want your 2-buck vote subsidy to go to EMay's Birkinstock Fund?
*Le sigh.* Politics as usual, in other words.
And yet, the sane people soldier on. The sane people who are so appalled at what Evul Stevul has done and will continue to do to Canadian democracy that, yes, they are prepared to 'hold their noses' and vote for the candidate most likely to stop him.
A number of groups have created websites intended to help others do the same.
You can find them here, here, here, and here. They are non- or multi-partisan, recommending candidates of all un-Con persuasions, including Bloc and Green.
So, what about that 2 bucks? If you're so committed to your partisanship, send the party of your choice some dough of your own.
Now, we realize that in some
Check them out and see if there's one running in your nabe.

If ever there was an election for strategic voting, this is it. To paraphrase Churchill, if Harper slandered Hell, I would at least have something positive to say about Satan.
But... there's the debate tonight. Harper can't hide in his box for the whole campaign, safe behind thugs and surrounded by crowds who only support him. He's got to come out of there at least twice and face his opponents.
I really, truly hope that they learned from 2008. Would it not be a dream come true for them to ignore their petty differences and tear into Harper like a pack of wolves after a limping moose?
Let's hope they have their priorities straight for the debate this evening.
And what's with the early start time. Do you think BC workers will get to watch at their place of employment? Will the prairie workers be stuck in rush hour traffic?
The Contempt Party leader and his Cons are a band of cornered plague rats.
They will do whatever is necessary, from their POV, to keep their strangle-hold on power. And given their record in Parliament, I expect that many Cons won't be stopped by the prospect of breaking laws, if they believe they can get away with it.
Only parties that get 2% of the vote (or I think at least 5% of the vote in the ridings they run candidates in) get the per vote subsidy. So if you vote for a minor party or an independent, no one gets your $2.
Paul, I've been trying to find a link for that and can't. Do you have a source?
