^Not^ to be unfair ...

Those had to be posted. After all, DJ! has displayed freaky frightful photos of Contempt leader SHithead, as well as one of Jumping Jack Flash and also, a toothy Lizzie May.

Michael Ignatieff was on Tout le monde en parle, a very popular Radio-Canada program on Sunday evening. He was asked to give a one-word capsule description of all the provinces where he's campaigned during this election. I forget what he said about the others, but he summed up Québec as *fromage*.

Oooookay dokay. That was unfortunate, albeit amusing in a warped, you-had-to-be-there kind of way. And it explains why Iggy appears to be illustrating the proper way to milk a dairy cow.

The top photo find of this federal election has to be that vintage B&W snapshot of the student activist Gilles Duceppe, posted above.

That's a ... err, francophone cow.

Come now, DJ... I find it hard to think of a better province to go to for truly excellent cheese. It's one more thing for them to be proud of.

I'm more interested in what his words for the rest of the provinces were...

Uncommoner, I agree with you. Les produits du terroir in Québec are excellent, especially the cheese. If cheese producers get the legal protection and support they need from the provincial government, I predict they will eventually surpass the French in market share.

As for Ignatieff's bons mots for the other provinces, go here.

Thank you kindly, deBeauxOs. Greatly appreciated, and I would just love to see Canada's products get more market share.

Aww drat. My high school french is so rusty it should be lots of fun translating this as I go. No chance of a transcript, I suppose?

Merde.
