And this is where I draw the line.

It must be that I'm one of those pacifist Canadians, still living (in my heart and mind) in that Canada that Jonathan Kay says we're best rid of, thanks to the ReformaTories.

I would not wish an untimely death upon the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

This US guy would, and explains the reasons why. He also has some astute observations about Sarah Palin.

Though Rob Kall pulls back from his punch with this conclusion:
The thing is, my wish is probably moot. Limbaugh surely has great health coverage and will, unlike the tens of millions he'd withold insurance from, get the best health care available.
And what about that pesky little thing called karma?

One could reflect on whether the judicious application of the Christian Golden Rule - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." - might satisfy the goddess Kali.

Man, isn't this one a killer? I've hated Rush Limbaugh with a vengeance ever since he started spewing his hate on the air. He's one of the nastiest pieces of work on the planet and really has never shown the slightest compassion for anyone but himself and people who are in complete agreement with his opinions.

Why, then, do I feel any pity for a man who's a racist, mysogynistic, hater who'd gladly allow thousands of people to die every year for lack of health care rather than have Obama succeed where all others have failed?

I have to admit that if the headline had read that he had died, I wouldn't have felt even a tug of remorse. But now, all I can picture is a terrified human being (well, at least I think he's probably human) who only wants to survive and heal and get on with his life.

Maybe, just maybe, he'll realize that's all any of us are really asking.

Thanks fern hill, and I hope you have a wonderful 2010!

Actually, Limbaugh gave a short statement when he was released from the hospital that makes me almost regret any empathy I felt for the boob. He says that because he got great treatment, there is nothing wrong with the healthcare system, and he is thankful to be a American and have this happen to him. (can you hear me shrieking and swearing where you are?)

Limbaugh does feel entitled to his entitlements, doesn't he? As for his fans, the majority of whom do not have health insurance coverage as sumptuous as he does, Rush has said many times they get what they deserve.

Mrs Bitch, I guess you answered a question I had since last nite. My question was; now that ol' Rushy has a pre existing condition, will his insurance carrier drop him? Or do they reward him for slamming Obama and health care reform?

I guess the latter given his last short statement.

Fern, Beaux Os, and the other good scribes of Dammit Janet as well as commenters here, Happy New Year to you and your families

Just to let you know I'm back to blogging but I have moved.

Heh...turns out Rush Fucking Limbaugh didn't have heart trouble because he doesn't have a heart.

And Jonathan Fucking Kay never gets headaches because...?

I'm only sorry I didn't see that wanker's piece before I assembled my weekly list, or he'd be on it. Conservatives "taking the country back" indeed. With a minority and a cowardly prorogation? No wonder the National Pest is gonna fold. With prognostications like that, you'd be better off consulting the Reagans' astrologer for political analysis.
