BREAKING! Divorce? You Betcha!

Well, this might explain Sarah Palin's quick exit from the governorship and her descent into total (as opposed to intermittent) incoherence.

The Palins are heading to Quitsville, Marital State.
AlaskaReport has learned this morning that Todd Palin and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin are to divorce. Multiple sources in Wasilla and Anchorage have confirmed the news.

A National Enquirer story exposing previous affairs on both sides led to a deterioration of their marriage and the stress from that led to Palin's resignation as governor of Alaska.

The Palins were noticeably not speaking to each other at last Sunday's resignation speech in Fairbanks. Sarah ditched Todd (MSNBC) right after the speech and left without him. Sarah removed her wedding ring a couple of weeks ago.

Sarah has recently purchased land in Montana and is considering moving the family there. Sarah Palin is originally from Idaho.

Todd Palin told Fox News last week that he was heading back to his job in the oil fields of Alaska, yet Sarah recently signed a book deal reportedly worth $11 million.

It seems Alaska Report is pretty reliable. At the bottom of the story:
AlaskaReport was the first website to report that Sarah Palin was running for governor of Alaska and the first website to report that Sarah was picked as John McCain's VP candidate.

The other shoe drops.

It's gotta be more than that, no?

JJ: The other Manolo, you mean.

Luna: Well, normal people wouldn't think it's such a big deal, but Rethuglican Base might take a dim view. But yeah, there's probably more.

Like, I was wondering -- if they were both having affairs, would SP as a good, gord-fearing fundy use birth control with the other guy(s) or not? And if not, maybe Todd's wondering about getting himself some paternity testing.

A lot of people suspected there was something else coming. I guess this is it.

WAIT.

Don't get me wrong, I dislike Palin, but notice an important bit there: 'A National Enquirer story' exposed multiple affairs.

NATIONAL ENQUIRER. The same people who bring your weekly prophecies of doom and stories on Fishboys washing up on the beaches of Idaho. Dont trust the word of those Trailer Park rags.

Quite likely theya re splitting, but probably nothing to do with NE.

Except that, you know, EVERYONE who follows Palin likely reads those things fuckin' religiously.

The Duck Man: Wasn't it the NE that got the goods on John Edwards's affair?

But then, I'm a big Men in Black fan. ;)

Hee. So being kept perpetually snowmobile-booted and pregnant has caused the so-con pin(head)up girl to run from "The Dude's" figurative kitchen?

Won't somebody think about Sarah's (de)base(d) constituency?

Exloding fundy heads!

This Alaska Report does say that they have learned from "multiple sources" so that gives it a credibility beyond the gossip rag.

Todd P. is a union man and I wonder how much that thinking would square with his wifie's silly political views.
