*Do* Adjust Your Blogroll

I've just made two additions to the blogroll.

Check out Scott in Montreal at
Tattered Sleeve
and harebell at voice from the pack.

They are our kind of people.

ADDED: Why the heck didn't we have The Gazetteer?

If you have or know of other REAL progressive blogs, please leave a link in the comments.

I know Rusty Idols is on the blogroll, but it seems a tipping point has been reached for more than just DJ! Or did someone else see this?

Rusty Idols bowing out on PB

No, I missed that one, but there are some who were already on the blogroll: The Galloping Beaver, Dawg's Blog, Feminist Christian Blogger.

And more to come, I bet.

The Vicious Abortion Somethingorother (what was it?) Gang rides again!

Crusaders! Vicious Abortion Crusaders! Somebody with photoshop skillz, get on that, please. I want lots of chain mail and fluttering pennants.

I'm sure mr Kinsella and folks see the effort as the Knights who say Nee.

For those wondering about Vicious Abortion Crusaders.

And that's JJ out. Tribe comments.

Is he getting worried? His *rock stars* are leaving.

This all reminds me of another situation I was in, for something less important.

People in charge of something were allowing asshattery and I kept hearing rumblings of displeasure but nothing more. I finally said hell-with-this and organized a 'clear the air' meeting of the membership. There was about a microsecond of me getting pissed at by The Powers That Be and then, next thing I knew, this group thunderball of 'me too' rocketed past me, loudly establishing the leadership went or the majority of the membership went. In that case, the leadership went.

The usual suspects muttered I was some sort of Svengali, when all I'd done was not get pushed around anymore.

Seems to me there are a lot of times that's all it takes. Someone stands.

Which is why it pisses me off that so-called 'progressives', knowing the Supreme Court ruled on this and knowing it's been 23+ years since the ruling, knowing Law is on the side of women's rights, are willing to SURRENDER those same rights to whiners before a fight even starts.

Anyway, I thought I'd offer a musical interlude, since we're on the topic of rock stars.

Rascal Flatts' song 'Stand'

The youtube has clips from the tv version of the Magnificent 7, which, while having the ensemble of male leads in it, surrounded them with subversively strong women's roles.

It's no Vicious Abortion Crusaders...
