Our *favourite* jackass Senator mispeaks.

When Pierre-Hughes Boisvenu opens his mouth, cockroaches spill out.

This morning before going into a Contempt Party caucus, he reflected that he was against capital punishment but that convicted killers should be left wit a noose in their prison cell so they could do the right thing. Then he added that it was an economic issue, that long term incarceration for murderers was an expensive burden for the state to shoulder.

He's withdrawn his remarks now, but it's not outrageous to assume that many of his fellow Con job caucus members share the same opinions.

As Yukon Gale tweets, one expects the reformaTories to include in their pension reform schemes a provision for sending off seniors who need OAS on ice floes.

UPDATE: As can be expected, #Boisvenu is trending. Parliamentary reporter Martin Bégin points out that Art. 241 of the Criminal Code has stiff sentencing - 14 years - for individuals who incite someone to commit suicide.

Butbutbut, if prisons are so expensive, why are we building a shitload more of them?

Andandand, criminals get to off themselves but not terminally ill people?

Not even consistent stupidity from these people.
