1) The stride. Mom and kids are walking naturally. Stevie has a stiff-leg gait, like a low-rent goose-step.

Naw, it's probably the other way around; Stevie's perfect family is photoshopped into all his PR stuff.

Here's something odd - the PM's "Happy Holidays" card with his family was taken at the same time as the Abbey Rd pic - it seems a lot of photoshopping was involved. Clothing items for each one appears to be the same.
Stevie has been 'slenderized' thanks to the magic of CGI.
