Just my humble opinion but I think ACR did a great job running the F-Word Blog Awards earlier this year.

You're right, the F-Word Awards are great fun. The ACR crew is ab-fab.

Why don't they just call it the fringe group category?

Great idea, Great Aunty Bertha! LOL.

I don't get why this category presents so much difficulty -- there are enough feminist blogs to make it an interesting competition, and you don't need to call on an expert in the field to ascertain which ones qualify.

Meh.

I don't get it either, JJ. It's not like it's rocket surgery. ;)

So... do bloggers who post on the National Post website count as journalists?

fern hill said...

Anonymous: Ask the geniuses at CBA. Me, I don't consider the National Pest to have anything to do with journalism.

That is all kinds of lame.

Hey, maybe it's you who needs to look it up. the word retarded doesn't mean stupid and please don't insult me by giving me the slang definition. Surely even people like you must know when you should and shouldn't use a slur.
Ugh.

From the Canadian Oxford Dictionary: retard, 1) to delay the progress, development, arrival, or accomplishment of 2) make slow or late.

The boyos are definitely retarding the progress of the Canadian Blog Awards into anything meaningful.

I knew exactly what I was doing when I used the word, HannahJ, but thank you for your sanctimony.
