Naomi Knows How to Keep Her Knees Together, Part 2.

It's been over 13 months since I last addressed Lakritz and her anti-feminist drivel; though fine wine improves with age, Naomi's whine is becoming shrieeekier and more bizarre.

JJ did an excellent smack-down on the Lakritzian screed and Sabina at News of the Restless - her words and a picture tell the story.

But Naomi is screeching "OK, ladies (or rather "womyn"), let's not go there." at the wrong target audience. Since it appears that she hopes to infect her sons with her virulent anti-feminism, perhaps she should direct her rant at the 'girls' that her boys will likely be dating with her blessing, those who believe The Rules.

Why do I bother with Lakritz anyhow. She won't be reading DAMMIT JANET! Naomi, your opinion about Sodini's murderous gynophobia is not only regressive and wrong, it's not even shared by most men. Here's Bob Herbert of the New York Times:

We have become so accustomed to living in a society saturated with misogyny that the barbaric treatment of women and girls has come to be more or less expected. We profess to being shocked at one or another of these outlandish crimes, but the shock wears off quickly in an environment in which the rape, murder and humiliation of females is not only a staple of the news, but an important cornerstone of the nation’s entertainment.

The mainstream culture is filled with the most gruesome forms of misogyny, and pornography is now a multibillion-dollar industry — much of it controlled by mainstream U.S. corporations. One of the striking things about mass killings in the U.S. is how consistently we find that the killers were riddled with shame and sexual humiliation, which they inevitably blamed on women and girls. The answer to their feelings of inadequacy was to get their hands on a gun (or guns) and begin blowing people away.

Funny, eh Naomi? A man said that, and not because his mother or his wife or his daughter made him do it. It's his honest, rational opinion about this form of violence against women.
