Fetus in fetu

The most rabid of fetus fetishists maintain that there is never a medically valid reason for abortion -- not even proven lack of brain in the fetus.

I wonder what they would make of this.

An incredible case was recorded in medical practice. A 1-year-old girl is pregnant, while doctors say this is the first such case in modern medicine. Arab media are now considering if abortion would be considered murder in this case.

That story is from Croatia. Truth to tell, I thought this was some kind of very sick joke. The only other source I could find for the story is from Azerbaijan.

Then I consulted Wikipedia.

Fetus in fetu (or fœtus in fœtu) is a developmental abnormality in which a fetus gets enveloped inside its twin and an entire living organ system with torso and limbs can develop inside the host. The abnormality occurs in 1 in 500,000 live births.
